Workshop: Excellent Research Includes Sex and Gender-Sensitive Aspects (Language: English)
Sex and gender are important modifiers of health and disease and a basic stratification variable in personalized medicine. Yet, a precise understanding of what sex and gender are and how they can be conceptualized in biomedical research is often more complicated than one would think. In this interactive workshop, we critically examine how sex and gender are defined, measured, and operationalized in medical research and practice. Together, we will develop a critical understanding of how sex and gender are currently accounted for in medical research and how they may be relevant to your own research. Join us for a lively and constructive exchange on sex and gender sensitive medicine.
